Production Manager

Overview
A client of ours are currently seeking an experienced, Production Manager to lead shop-floor operations within a manufacturing environment. This role suits a practical, motivated leader who thrives in a fast-paced production setting and is comfortable leading by example.

This is not a desk-based position. The successful candidate will be actively involved in day-to-day production, supporting the team, resolving issues in real time, and driving performance on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and drive daily production operations to achieve productivity, quality, and delivery objectives.

• Maintain a strong presence on the shop floor, actively contributing to production and leading by example.

• Prepare accurate job quotations and effectively schedule work to balance capacity and demand.

• Develop, coach, and engage production personnel to build a capable and motivated team.

• Monitor operations to identify inefficiencies or issues and introduce practical improvements.

• Uphold all quality, health & safety, and environmental standards across the production area.

• Work closely with senior management to support operational excellence and continuous improvement.

About You:

• Demonstrated experience leading production teams in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.

• Solid hands-on workshop background with the ability to diagnose and resolve production challenges.

• Strong leadership capability with a people-first management style.

• Proactive and practical approach, with a willingness to be involved in all aspects of production.

• Resilient under pressure, with the ability to manage priorities and meet demanding deadlines.
