The Role
We’re looking for two Maintenance Engineers to join a busy engineering team responsible for keeping electro-mechanical equipment operating safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on maintenance role combining planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, fault finding and continuous improvement work.
With plenty of overtime available at enhanced rates, this is a great opportunity for an engineer looking for a stable permanent position with strong earning potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative and condition-based maintenance across a range of electro-mechanical equipment.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns, diagnosing faults and carrying out first-line repairs efficiently.
- Manufacture replacement components using workshop equipment including lathes, milling machines and welding equipment.
- Support continuous improvement projects, working alongside operations teams to improve equipment reliability and performance.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using the CMMS system.
- Liaise with on-site contractors to support maintenance activities and projects.
- Keep engineering knowledge up to date through ongoing training and development.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum NVQ L3 Engineering qualification, ideally covering EITHER mechanical and electrical disciplines.
- Strong mechanical OR electrical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical OR mechanical schematic drawings.
- Good fabrication skills, including machining and welding.
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
- Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces.
- Knowledge of motion control, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
