OUR GREEN MEASURES
IN OUR COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY, WE NOT ONLY FOCUS ON THE FUTURE OF RECRUITMENT BUT ALSO ON THE FUTURE OF OUR PLANET.
At Cooper Lomaz, we commit to our promises. Six years ago, we aimed to achieve net zero by 2030, but realised we needed to accelerate our efforts. Our team, passionate about sustainability, has supported initiatives like our cycle-to-work scheme and advanced recycling programs. These were positive steps, but not sufficient on their own.
To further our commitment, as of 20/05/2024, we’ve launched a tree planting initiative; for every placement we make, three trees are planted:
- 1 tree planted on behalf of the candidate.
- 1 tree planted on behalf of the client.
- 1 tree planted on behalf of the consultant.
Partnering with Evertreen, we plant three trees in reforestation projects for every placement made. These trees not only remove CO2 from the atmosphere but also enhance the landscape for locals by preventing soil erosion and generating employment opportunities for local populations.
Below are some snapshots of the sorts of projects our planted trees have contributed to:
This initiative puts us on track to reach our net zero goal by 2026, earlier than planned, showcasing our commitment to setting new standards in corporate responsibility.
Additionally, we promote a cycle-to-work scheme to discourage car use among our team by offering discounted bike prices, thereby lowering pollution levels. Our premises have a comprehensive recycling system, and we ensure that our sustainability values are reflected in our business purchasing decisions and when forming new business relationships. We strive to motivate and inspire other businesses to adopt similar eco-conscious decisions, demonstrating how simple actions can contribute to sustainable development.
We’re proud of our new green commitment and SCRIPT values. We are confident that in the near future we will achieve our sustainability goals, all while finding talented professionals ideally aligned with new careers at leading businesses across the UK and Europe.
