About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team. Reporting to the Agricultural Maintenance Manager, you will play a key hands-on role in keeping our agricultural and domestic equipment running safely and efficiently in a highly regulated food-production environment.
This is a genuinely varied position that combines reactive fault-finding, planned preventative maintenance, and new installations – ideal for someone who enjoys diverse daily challenges and wants to develop their career within a supportive company.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and preventative maintenance on a wide range of electrical systems and equipment
- Safely isolate equipment, diagnose faults (visual, mechanical, and electrical), and perform effective repairs
- Install new electrical systems and associated equipment, completing appropriate certification and testing
- Participate fully in the out-of-hours on-call rota (with the opportunity to become an Authorised Person)
- Maintain high standards of safety and compliance at all times
- Replace worn or defective parts to ensure smooth, reliable operation
- Work flexibly across multiple sites as required
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation / Maintenance
- City & Guilds 2391 (or 2394/2395) Inspection & Testing – essential
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) – preferred (training provided if required)
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Solid understanding of commercial and residential installations (agricultural experience a distinct advantage)
- Full UK driving licence
- Excellent communication skills and a flexible, can-do attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritise tasks, and perform well under pressure
- Commitment to safe working practices
