Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Permanent | 48 hours per week | Monday to Friday (start time from 6am)

£16–£18 per hour depending on experience (circa £47,000 inclusive of on-call allowance and overtime)

Role summary

This is a multi-site Electrical Maintenance Engineer role supporting agricultural and site-based equipment within a regulated environment. You’ll be responsible for planned maintenance, electrical installations and fault finding across a range of systems.

The role suits a qualified electrician who is comfortable working independently, travelling between sites and participating in an on-call rota.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance across electrical equipment and systems
• Diagnose faults, isolate power supplies safely and complete effective repairs
• Install electrical systems and associated equipment, ensuring correct certification
• Replace defective components to maintain safe and reliable operation
• Participate in the on-call rota (every 3 weekends)
• Work in line with site safety procedures and electrical regulations
• Maintain clear communication across multiple sites

What we’re looking for

• NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• 18th Edition preferred (training can be provided)
• C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing advantageous
• Strong electrical fault-finding skills
• Understanding of commercial and residential installations (agricultural experience advantageous)
• Experience working safely within regulated environments
• Full UK driving licence
