Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Permanent | 48 hours per week | Monday to Friday (start time from 6am)
£16–£18 per hour depending on experience (circa £47,000 inclusive of on-call allowance and overtime)
Role summary
This is a multi-site Electrical Maintenance Engineer role supporting agricultural and site-based equipment within a regulated environment. You’ll be responsible for planned maintenance, electrical installations and fault finding across a range of systems.
The role suits a qualified electrician who is comfortable working independently, travelling between sites and participating in an on-call rota.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out planned and preventative maintenance across electrical equipment and systems
- Diagnose faults, isolate power supplies safely and complete effective repairs
- Install electrical systems and associated equipment, ensuring correct certification
- Replace defective components to maintain safe and reliable operation
- Participate in the on-call rota (every 3 weekends)
- Work in line with site safety procedures and electrical regulations
- Maintain clear communication across multiple sites
What we’re looking for
- NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 18th Edition preferred (training can be provided)
- C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing advantageous
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills
- Understanding of commercial and residential installations (agricultural experience advantageous)
- Experience working safely within regulated environments
- Full UK driving licence
Pay & benefits
£16–£18 per hour depending on qualifications
On-call allowance of £100 per weekend plus hourly rate if called out
