This is a hands-on Engineering Lead role within a busy manufacturing environment. You’ll be responsible for coordinating day-to-day maintenance activity, keeping production equipment running reliably, and ensuring engineering standards are maintained across the site.

It suits an experienced maintenance professional who’s ready to take ownership of workload planning, team coordination and technical problem solving.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine and planned inspections of plant, machinery and facilities
• Identify maintenance requirements and agree priorities with the Engineering Supervisor
• Coordinate and allocate maintenance tasks across the engineering team
• Track progress of work and ensure completion is properly recorded
• Communicate technical issues clearly and escalate where required
• Monitor availability of spare parts, tools and engineering consumables
• Proactively flag shortages and requirements to maintain uptime
• Support safe working practices and compliance across all engineering activity

What We’re Looking For

• Recognised engineering qualifications with formal training in electrical, mechanical, pneumatics and plumbing disciplines
• Experience in a maintenance leadership or supervisory role
• Background within food manufacturing or a similar industrial environment
• Strong technical knowledge of automated production equipment and building services
• Solid understanding of health & safety legislation and safe systems of work
