Business Development Executive, Full-Time

We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Business Development Executive to join a thriving and expanding company based at its head office in Suffolk. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to play a key role in growing business opportunities and building long-term client relationships in a supportive and fast-paced environment.
About the Role
As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for supporting the Sales & Marketing Team by nurturing incoming enquiries, developing new business leads, and helping promote products and services to both UK and international customers. You’ll work collaboratively across teams, as well as independently, to manage client interactions and support sales activity through a mix of outbound communication, product demonstrations, and events.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Making outbound calls to potential customers to generate leads and build rapport
- Following up on quotations and opportunities, aiming to convert into orders
- Coordinating pricing and proposals in collaboration with internal teams
- Handling inbound queries via phone, email, and live chat, providing excellent customer service
- Conducting product demonstrations in person or online to prospects and existing clients
- Supporting the Sales Team with general administrative and campaign-related tasks
- Attending trade shows, exhibitions, and occasional client visits (UK and overseas)
Experience & Attributes:
We’re seeking someone who is proactive, personable, and commercially minded. The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar business development or sales role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to problem solve under pressure
- A confident, self-motivated attitude and the ability to work independently
- Good working knowledge of Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience using CRM systems (e.g. Sage 200) is desirable
Experience in a B2B environment would be advantageous, and an understanding of product-based sales is preferred, though not essential.

Please note: This is an office-based role. Candidates must be able to travel reliably to the Suffolk office daily. Some travel for off-site meetings and events will be required.
