IT Support Technician (1st Line)
We’re currently recruiting for an IT Support Technician to join a growing and supportive IT team. This role is ideal for someone with around two years of hands-on IT support experience who is looking to develop their technical skills in a varied, fast-paced environment.
As the first point of contact for the business, you’ll provide 1st line support to users, resolving day-to-day technical issues and escalating more complex problems when required. You’ll be involved in a wide range of tasks, from new user setups and laptop configurations to printer installations and occasional off-site firewall installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the initial point of contact for IT support queries via phone, email, and in person
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues
- Provide remote support to users across multiple locations
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and operating systems
- Log support requests and resolutions
- Maintain accurate records of hardware
- Assist with routine hardware maintenance and software updates
- Provide guidance and training to users on company systems.
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience in an IT support or service desk role
- Experience with Active Directory
- Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online and Power Automate
- Experience managing Sophos Central and antivirus policies
- Microsoft Office applications
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
