Position: Electrical Mechanical Engineer (Electrical Bias)
Shift: Permanent Nights – Sunday to Thursday
Hours: 20:00 – 06:00 (Flexible star times 8-hour shifts) 40 hours a week
Location: Food Production Site – On-Site Role
Operation: 24/7 Facility
Team: Production staff on-site during shifts

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Mechanical Engineer with an electrical bias to join our night shift team at a busy 24/7 food production facility. You will play a key role in maintaining production machinery and ensuring smooth overnight operations. As the company continues to invest in automation, strong electrical expertise is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on a range of production machinery
• Diagnose faults and respond quickly to breakdowns
• Ensure all equipment is running efficiently during night operations
• Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime
• Support automation and continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Mechanical Engineering Qualification
• Electrical Qualification
• NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a factory or production environment

Desirable Qualifications & Skills:

• ONC/HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Knowledge of PLCs, Inverter, and Servo Drives

Desirable Experience:

• Motors and Gearboxes
• PLC Systems
• Inverter & Servo Drives
• Pneumatics
• Hydraulics
