Job Title: Technical Support Engineer
Location: Remote – with 30-50% travel across Europe
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum

Cooper Lomaz is delighted to support a global business in their search for a Technical Support Engineer. This role is primarily remote, but you will be required to travel across Europe to provide onsite support.

Role Overview:
You will join a Technical Support team, providing assistance to end users across 250 sites in Europe. This role demands a high level of technical expertise, particularly in security patching processes, to ensure service availability. As the business operates 24/7, you must be willing to participate in both UK and European on-call rotas, which are compensated.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide support to the System and Network teams, including Disaster Recovery and WAN/LAN Networks.
• Deliver onsite support for new launches and during server and network deployments.
• Assist the projects team with various initiatives.
• Monitor the security of the company’s infrastructure.
• Report on patch levels, operating systems, and software updates across the business.

Required Skills:

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience working at a 2nd – 3rd line level.
• Experience with:
  • Azure
  • VMware, Hyper-V, or other virtualisation technologies
  • Office 365
  • Windows Server and operating systems
  • Active Directory
  • SCCM
• Experience in both BAU and project-based work.
• Familiarity with security gateways and protocols.
• Willingness to travel across Europe for in-person support.
• Willingness to participate in the on-call rota.

Salary & Location:

• £40,000 – £45,000 per annum DOE.
• This is a remote role, but you will spend approximately 30-50% of your time travelling to various sites across Europe.
